College work
"Dear god, it's all fruits!!"CLASS: 2d
These 5"x7" paintings were made with cardstock and acrylic paint. The set was made as an exploration of color, form, texture, and photorealism with paint. I took photos of different fruits and recreated them in painting form.

"UP//DOWN"CLASS: 4d
What if your ability to do day-to-day tasks was taken from you in the blink of an eye? UP//DOWN is a college project which explores the struggles of individuals with invisible disabilities. For my final video project, I created an experimental short film titled UP//DOWN. My goal with this project was to bring awareness to the experience of those with invisible disabilities. The film includes a performance piece that is accompanied by abstract B-Rolls representing hidden feelings and loneliness. My performance, inspired by the works of Marina Abramovic, was a test on the endurance of my body and a visualization of my symptoms. When filming the performance portion of UP//DOWN, I realized just how ignorant the general public is to people with disabilities. Despite wrapping my body with caution tape and sitting in an elevator for an hour, nobody batted an eye, even when I started to slowly deteriorate and fall. When editing all the shots together, I created a pattern/loop of each scene to show the cyclical nature of having an invisible disability and dealing with the healthcare system.
